What are instant money transfers?

An instant money transfer is a SEPA transfer that is processed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including holidays and weekends. Even if the beneficiary has an account with a different bank than the sender, the money will be transferred to the beneficiary's account within seconds.

When does it apply?

You can receive or send instant money transfers to beneficiaries within the SEPA zone. SEPA countries include all Member States of the European Union: Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Austria , Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Czech Republic, United Kingdom and Sweden. The European states of Liechtenstein, Iceland, Monaco, Norway, San Marino and Switzerland also belong to the unified payment zone.

Instant money transfers are only available for single transfers in EUR, with a limit of 50,000 EUR per account per day. If a particular bank is unable to process instant money transfers, you will receive an immediate warning.

Track & trace your international payments

More information will be available on the international payments processed over the SWIFT network. The information provided is based on what the bank receives from the SWIFT gpi tracker which shares information coming from (gpi compliant) banks handling your payment. Speed, certainty and a smooth international payments experience are crucial to us all. SWIFT gpi offers that through significantly improving cross-border payments across the correspondent banking network. You will be able to see what the status of the payment is, including the estimated booking date. More information here.

Updates to Daily Banking

We have made numerous improvements to the user-friendliness:

  • download details of a payment directly from the history of your transactions in PDF, including transactions of the day itself (intraday).
  • communication of a beneficiary is stored when saved.
  • save a transfer and immediately enter a new transfer in the following screen.

Manage payments

With the New transfer feature, you can make European or international payments provided you have the right profile. The system automatically checks whether European transfers comply with SEPA standards and detects international transfers. If you want to make a payment to several beneficiaries, this can be done on the same screen. You can add a maximum of 500 beneficiaries to a bulk transfer. To make things easier, you can save the list of beneficiaries to your online banking platform. With the Beneficiaries feature, you can add new beneficiaries and edit, delete or group existing beneficiaries.

Initiate and sign European transfers on your smartphone

You can introduce European transfers between your own accounts and to beneficiaries saved on Easy Banking Business Web.

You can also consult European transfers waiting for your approval and sign them easily with your 5-digit mobile PIN.

Work quicker

To make things more convenient, you can reuse collective and regular transfers, with or without changes. If you prefer to create your transfers in an accounting system, you can upload these transfers to Easy Banking Business. The system will check the file once it has been imported and will then display the results.

Set up and manage standing orders

With Easy Banking Business, you can set up new standing orders for Belgian current accounts and edit or delete existing standing orders. You can use a standing order to automatically pay a recurring amount such as rent or loan repayments, or to make transfers to a savings account on a fixed date.

Stay organised

Zoomit allows you to keep track of your electronic invoices. Easy Banking Business enables you to view and pay invoices, credit notes and payslips electronically. Click on the Zoomit feature in the menu to quickly see which invoices still need to be paid or to manage new suppliers and documents.

SEPA Direct Debits

By using SEPA Direct Debits, you can send one-off or regular invoices to customers in Belgium and the rest of Europe. Payments are made automatically, provided the recurring payment is approved by the person or company making the payment. In Easy Banking Business, you can manage these direct debits as a debtor or creditor.

Easy Banking Business lists the direct debits for which you are a debtor in the Direct Debits feature. If you have the right profile, you can search direct debits and view the details of various mandates. You can also block creditors or request repayment, if necessary. If you are the creditor, you can upload collections or create new mandates and groups of payments in the Collections feature.
